Testimony of salvation: Chad Although I had made a profession of faith as a six year old, at the age of sixteen I became convicted of my sin against God and turned to Christ as my only Saviour. Call to the mission field: I had never even heard of Cambodia until I went to West Coast Baptist College. Bro. Jeff Jupp presented his burden for Cambodia at the 2004 Missions Conference at Lancaster Baptist Church, and God spoke to my heart about going. Bro. Jupp's testimony in life and in death was instrumental in God's calling me to Cambodia. Ministry Experience: I served under Pastor Fred Fies for nearly two years while I was at West Coast Baptist College. I taught the teen Sunday school and helped Pastor Fies in any capacity he needed me. I served under Pastor John Wilkerson for two years. I worked in the Cambodian ministry, taught the college and career Sunday school class, and taught in the Christian school. I served under Bro. Stephen Benefield for two months in Cambodia. During that time and my time with Pastor Wilkerson, I learned a good deal of the Khmer language, which I can speak conversationally. |

Testimony of salvation: Linda I was raised in a Buddhist home. My parents are regugees from the "Killing Fields" of Cambodia, in which three million Cambodians perished in the mid 1970's. When I was a girl, Bro. Koumaly Thongdy took me, along with several other Cambodian kids from my apartment, to Cambodian Baptist Church. Although I did not get saved at that time, a foundation was laid that would play a vital role a few years down the road. When I was nineteen, Pastor Sambath Mao, the Cambodian pastor from First Baptist Church of Long Beach, visited my home, and he eventually led me to Christ. Call to the mission field: After being saved and baptized, I took discipleship courses at First Baptist Church of Long Beach. As I began serving in the ministry there, God began burdening my heart for the country from which my parents had escaped thirty years before. I visited Cambodia for the first time in 2006 with my mom and sister. I met my grandmother and my mom's side of the family for the first time. During that trip, I surrendered my life to go back to Cambodia permanently to see my family and fellow Cambodians saved. Ministry Experience: I served in the Cambodian ministry of First Baptist Church of Long Beach for three years. I have also spent two months in Cambodia. Khmer is my first language.

My name is Elisabeth Grace Phillips, and I was born on March 20, 2008, in Harbor City, California. I was named after Elisabeth Elliot, the wife of the martyred missionary Jim Elliot. My favorite thing to do is make my mommy and daddy laugh at all the cute and hilarious things I do. Thank you for praying for my family and me! |

My name is Judson Phary-James Phillips. I was born on February 24, 2009, in Harbor City, California. My first name comes from Adoniram Judson, the first missionary to leave the shores of America to go to the foreign field. The first part of my middle name comes from my grandfather's name on my mommy's side, and the second part of my middle name comes from my grandfather's name on my daddy's side. I got my last name from my daddy's last name- I don't really know how all that works, I just accept it. Thanks for praying for my family! |
